HOW DO WE DO IT?

Rather than like a traditional dealership who must sell its inventory, our primary job is to locate, evaluate and buy the vehicle YOU want, and work with you in a professional and low-pressure manner while saving you time and money. Buying a vehicle does not have to be hard and painful. Please understand we want to buy only what you want, not what we think will sell. Of course, we have overhead, but we also have limited exposure. Like big business, (Dell and others) they sell the computer before they even buy it. No inventory, no losses. This is where traditional dealerships and private parties lose and we shine. We encourage you to do your research and visit with us. We want the opportunity to earn your business!

HOW AM I PROTECTED FROM GETTING A BAD CAR?

We have many years of experience evaluating and appraising vehicles and we personally inspect EVERY vehicle we buy before we buy it. Your vehicle will undergo our full A.S.E Mechanical inspection before it is delivered. We concentrate on vehicles that still have remaining factory warranty (generally 3 years or 36,000 miles for most cars, 4 years or 50,000 miles for "high-line" cars). Also, the auctions have policies requiring the disclosure of frame or uni-body damage. NO SALVAGE TITLES OR VEHICLES ARE EVEN ALLOWED AT THESE AUCTIONS! All of these factors, while not totally eliminating risk, certainly reduce it to a minimal level. Every client to whom we have delivered a car or truck has been anywhere from very satisfied to extremely satisfied! We have had NO vehicles refused when delivered and NO unhappy clients to date. WHAT WARRANTIES DO YOU OFFER?

Most of the cars we purchase for our clients are still covered by the manufacturer for some period. Many of our clients have purchased extended warranties with their savings. Warranty costs range from $899.00 to $1,900.00. Warranties from 3 year/36,000 miles to 7 years/120,000 miles power train and bumper-to-bumper coverage available.

WHAT ARE MY OTHER COSTS?

Only expenses related to your vehicle are passed along. These include documentary fee, sales tax, vehicle inventory tax, title transfer vehicle registration fees buyers check, and delivery (transport). The auction fee, bank and auction draft charges (if any) are included in our quoted price. Texas law authorizes dealers to charge a $50.00 "documentary fee" because we are forced by law to collect sales tax and complete title and license paperwork (including an in-person trip to the county tax office). Virtually all dealers charge for this, and it's frequently $125.00-$150.00. We only charge the minimum authorized documentary fee of $50.00. Texas sales tax on motor vehicles is 6.25%, title transfer is $15.50, vehicle inventory tax is around two-tenths of a percent, and license is a maximum of $60.80 in most cases. The A.S.E. certified mechanic's inspection is $75.00. There is a transportation/delivery fee of $100.00. If the buyer resides outside of Texas, we are not required to register the car or pay Texas taxes (except vehicle inventory) and license fees.

IF I WANT TO DISCUSS YOUR VEHICLE LOCATING SERVICE WITH YOU PERSONALLY, DO I HAVE TO COME TO YOUR OFFICE?

Only if our location is a convenient place to meet. Otherwise, we will meet with you at a location convenient to you. We work evenings and weekends by appointment.

CAN I COME TO YOUR OFFICE AND SEE VEHICLES YOU HAVE BOUGHT FOR OTHER CUSTOMERS?

Absolutely. We are a licensed Texas independent used car dealer, and have anywhere from 1 to 4 cars waiting for delivery at any given time. Please feel free to visit our facility if you would like to look at our inventory or contact us and we will provide a list of what is available.

CAN YOU ARRANGE FINANCING?

Yes, we can help! While we do not finance our located vehicles ourselves, we have referral relationships with several lenders, including banks and credit unions. (Your consultant can recommend the best one depending on your individual needs.)

WHAT ARE YOUR SOURCES FOR CARS AND TRUCKS?

In order of importance, our sources are (1) Metroplex-based auto manufacture/dealer auctions; (2) wholesalers with whom we have working relationships; and (3) private parties.

WHO ARE THE SELLERS AT THESE DEALER AUCTIONS?

Manufacturers' finance companies (GMAC, Toyota Motor credit, etc.), leasing companies, auto manufacturers ("program cars"), wholesalers, and independent used and new car dealer (trade-ins).

IS THERE A GENERAL RULE ON WHEN A CAR IS THE BEST BUY IN TERMS OF INITIAL DEPRECIATION?

The general rule is that the steepest depreciation curve for most cars and trucks is over between 2 and 3 years of age. However, as you can see in our testimonials we have saved significant amounts for clients even when purchasing used cars of the current model year!

CAN I GO TO THE AUCTION WITH YOU TO CHECK OUT THE CARS?

Unfortunately, the auctions do not permit retail customers to accompany dealers.

WILL YOU TAKE MY OLD CAR AS A TRADE-IN?

Yes, there are three ways we can do this. (1) Immediately wholesale or auction your trade. You will be credited with the full amount received for your old car, less auction costs and our nominal $250.00 wholesale fee. On the plus side, this is a TRUE wholesale price that is typically more than most conventional dealers will offer. (2) Consign your vehicle with us. Together we agree to a sales price. (3) Together we agree that your vehicle may be worth more if sold on a "note". This formula will produce income to both you, (the owner) and us, (the selling agent) in the form of providing both the vehicle and the money to buy the vehicle to a customer who's credit might be a bit "challenged". Also, the amount we initially credit you on your trade offsets some of the sales tax on your "new" vehicle. Any difference between what we receive and what we initially credit as a trade, will be refunded to you, less the costs described above. (I.E. $15,000.00 Trade in Credit is worth $950.00 Tax Credit.)

ARE YOU ALWAYS CHEAPER THAN THE DEALERS, PRIVATE PARTY SELLERS OR THE BIG SUPERSTORES?

While we cannot guarantee lower prices, that has been our overwhelming experience. (See our testimonials page for several actual examples.) We have saved clients anywhere from $500.00 to $2,500.00 or more than if they bought equivalent cars at the dealers or private party individuals!

ARE THE LATE MODEL CARS YOU LOCATE IN ABSOLUTELY PERFECT OR "MINT" CONDITION?

Any car that has been used on public streets will exhibit some degree of use, (i.e. shopping cart door ding). What we do for you is use our years of experience to determine how much wear is appropriate for the car's age and mileage. We are more selective than the vast majority of our clients! See some of our vehicles waiting for delivery then evaluate for your self.

CAN I SEE THE VEHICLE AND APPROVE IT BEFORE COMMITTING TO BUY?

Absolutely. We encourage you to have your vehicle re- checked by a mechanic of your choice. We want you to be absolutely confident of your purchase. We have a very comprehensive Mechanical Condition Guarantee and every vehicle MUST pass before even leaving the sale. If your vehicle does not meet that criteria you are not committed to buy and we will pay for the next vehicle(s) mechanical inspection. To date we have no unhappy clients and no vehicles have been refused. In our non-traditional program, we are your eyes, ears and hands with respect to the selection. In fact we call our clients as we are examining the car before the sale to describe the condition.
